3D Printed Model Building Tips

Printing and building 3D Models should be fun and easy.  Here are some tips to help you along the way.
  1. Most 3D printed parts are designed to fit tightly. This is because when most people print with PLA plastic, it loosens up a bit after time.
  2. All 3D printed parts tend to have a lip on the bottom where the part starts on the print bed.  Use a knife to scrape down this edge for a better fit and look.
  3. For Ball Joints a little sanding goes a long way to make the ball roll more smoothly throughout the joint. This goes for rotational joints as well.
