It's important to know your elevator pitch bio... This is mine.
Born in 1977, in Atlanta GA, I grew up in the big city. I went to college at Georgia Tech, receiving my Bachelors in Business Management. I applied to the U.S. Marine Corps and went to USMC Officer's Candidate School in 2001. That same year I was married to my wife Erin and we are still together today with two amazing kids.
My 20 yr U.S. Marine Corps Career has been an amazing experience. I have been deployed 5 times and have been to countless countries around the world. I am a Marine Armor Officer (Tanks) by trade but have served across a myriad of specialties including: Tanks, Infantry, Airborne, Joint Tactical Air Control, Fires, Targeting, Formal Instruction, and Martial Arts.
Ever since I was kid I've enjoyed designing and creating cool things. As I've aged, I find the same passion in it as I did when I was young. Sharing those ideas and finding new ones has always been what gives me energy.
Commando Designs was born from the same passion I had as a kid. It's so hard to focus on one area, I enjoy it all so much. I love to create new stuff and customize existing things.
My military career has enabled me to experience the world in all its beauty and some of its ugliness. But as I've traveled the world and worked with some of the most innovative companies in military industry, it has only fueled my passion for discovery even more.
When it comes to hobbies, I am definitely a Jack-of-all-trades and Master-of-none. I find myself drawn to vast physical experiences the most. During the summers in high school I was a whitewater river guide and a kayaking instructor in the mountains of North Carolina. In college I was an ardent skydiver, logging over 250 jumps. The military has been an experience in itself, always pushing me through what I thought were physical and mental barriers. I've always been a passionate bass angler and recently I've started to find time to get back into whitewater boating.
Having a family will change your life and I'm no exception. It's exhausting and exhilarating. It's petrifying and rewarding. It is the greatest thing that I never knew I wanted until I had it.
I don't mean to sound cliche when I say that I just want to experience life at it's fullest but I really mean it. There is so much good in this world but you have to find it. If you don't go looking for the good in our society everyday, then everything that is wrong in society will simply come to you.
I appreciate all your support throughout the years I've worked on this project and look forward to many more.
